Restricted calls
Restricted calls are funding calls in which the number of applications the university can submit is limited. The sponsor may also have other requirements – e.g. that the institution ensures there is no overlap between proposals submitted to the same call.
In light of this, the University's Research Policy Committee has set up the below procedure for the internal management of applications for such calls and has tasked the Research Strategy Office with implementing the procedure.
- The Research Funding Development team identifies a call is restricted
- The Research Funding Development team circulates the internal call to departments and Schools via email, the Current Restricted Calls webpage and Research Professional
- Internal applications are submitted to the Research Funding Development team through Microsoft Forms
- The Research Funding Development team coordinates review and selection with the Restricted Bids Selection Committee
- The Research Funding Development team informs applicants/departments/Schools, and the relevant Research Development Teams of the outcome.
