Research integrity (introduction)

This is a short self-paced module on Moodle that introduces the principles of research integrity and good research practice. It is aimed at postgraduate students and early career researchers but is open to any member of the University who wishes to learn more about research integrity at Cambridge. The module is available in three variations to account for disciplininary differences:

• Clinical Medicine and Biological Sciences
• Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences
• Technology & Physical Sciences

Responsible research and innovation (introduction)

This self-paced online course provides an introduction to principles of responsible research and innovation. You can join the course here.

You will be asked to enter an enrolment key on Moodle:

• If you are an EPSRC-funded student, use this enrolment key: RRI_epsrc24.
• Otherwise, use this enrolment key: RRI_other24.

If you wish, you can record your attendance on the RI or RRI courses via the University training website.

In addition, there are a number of online modules offered by other University providers on topics related to research integrity. These are listed in the menu below.

UKRIO Research Integrity online course

The UKRIO online research integrity course is self-paced online course on Moodle that takes 4-6 hours to complete. It is divided into 4 modules, with its own set of learning objectives:

1. Principles of research integrity [60 minutes]
2. The UK's research integrity guidelines, principles and governance frameworks [40 minutes]
3. Research Integrity in Practice [90 minutes] - introduces a range of practical topics reflecting current challenges faced by research professionals
4. Fostering a culture of research integrity [30 minutes]

Data Protection

The Office of Personal and Professional Development provides an online data protection training course.

Bribery Act

The Finance Division provides online training for all staff in the Bribery Act 2010.

Research Data Management

The RDM team offers online and face-to-face training to help you with various aspects of data management to data sharing, data organisation, data visualisation and writing code.

Research Skills Guide

Cambridge University Libraries provides a number of short online modules on publishing, managing data, and finding and disseminating research.

In addition, many such courses are delivered at a local level by departments, faculties and Schools, both as part of the University's teaching programme and as standalone courses.
